Advisory Board Meeting Minutes, January 20, 2005
Minutes: NCTV Advisory Board Meeting
Thursday, January 20, 2005, NCTV Classroom
6:00pm to 8:00 pm
1.Meeting called to order by Dave Bloch at 6:07pm
Members in attendance: Marianne Slade-Troutman, Lisa Swathout, Kerry Arnett, Lew Sitzer, Gary Schlosser, Chuck Scimeca,
Also present: Suzie Daggett
Members absent: Tina Ludutsky-Taylor, Ted Owens
Discussion Items
2.Adoption of the Agenda; Motion by Marianne, seconded by Kerry to adopt the agenda. Vote; unanimous
3.Adoption of the minutes of September 16, 2004 . Motion by Marianne, seconded by Kerry to adopt the agenda. Vote; unanimous
4.Public Forum; Invitation to members of the public to address the public with regard to issues what are not on the agenda. Limited to 3 minutes each.
5.Station update - Lew (Sat/Wed instruction, classes, generator/UPS, Election night and Telethon, Readathon).
6.Update on Fund-raising brochures – Lew, passed out draft brochure and spoke of Spring fund-raising drive.
Action Items
7.Gary's letter suggesting new meeting schedule, enlargement of board and alternates. Board adopted policies; Gary motioned to approve 2.1, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4. Seconded by Marianne. Approved unanimously.
2.2.1 Election of NCTV Advisory Board officers will take place each January and will consist of Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary for terms of one year.
2.2.2 Vacancies. When at-large vacancies of the Advisory Board occur, the Advisory Board will advertise on the Website and on the NCTV Bulletin Board. Applications will be accepted and then voted on by the Board.
2.2.3 Vacancies of elected or appointed officials. Each governmental or educational institution will be requested by the Board to fill the vacancy as quickly as possible.
2.2.4 Change of 2.2: Up to six additional members are selected from the community by the existing Advisory Board members. Terms of membership are for 2 years but members may reapply as there are no term limits.
Marianne motion to approve 5.1 and Gary seconded. Approved unanimously.
5.1 Having successfully received the appropriate certification, members may reserve NCTV facilities and equipment for the production and

8.Draft of procedures was reviewed, edited and approved unanimously. Procedures will be posted on website.
9.Next meetings to be February 17 and March 24 at NCTV classroom.
