NCTV Broadcasts BOS Meetings to Truckee Region
NCTV Now Seen in Truckee!
TTCTV now broadcasting Nevada County Board meetings on Channel 24.
TTCTV now has a direct digital feed from NCTV and is able to broadcast meetings of the Nevada County Board of Supervisors in real-time. Up to now, they received the meetings pre- taped. In addition the meetings will be re-brodcast several times a week on channel 24, a new channel providing Government meeting coverage for the Truckee-Tahoe region.

NCTV Broadcasts Live from Gold Country
LIVE Streaming of Interviews from the Wild and Scenic Film Festival Media Lounge
This year for the first time NCTV, in conjunction with Cognizant Productions, broadcast live interviews with over 40 filmmakers, environmental activists and festival-goers from the site of the first ever Media Lounge, during the 8th Annual SYRCL Wild and Scenic Film Festival.
Local Producers The Yuba Gals Win Media Award
Two of our most talented and community involved producers, Janaia Donaldson & Robyn Mallgren (The Yuba Gals ) have won a prestigious media award! Their series, "Peak Moment," got its start in January 2006 in the studios of NCTV. Since then, they have produced almost 160 programs! "Peak Moment Conversation 141 "Creating a Home Graywater System" was selected to win a 2009 Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) Award in the category "Talk Show--Issues, Professional Producer".
WAVE is sponsored by The Alliance for Community Media, Western Region, to support and encourage community-access television show producers.
2010 Amgen Tour of California Bike Race will begin in Nevada City!
Nevada City was selected to be the host city for the first leg of next year's Amgen Tour of California Bike Race. The honor will bring thousands of visitors to our small towns and should be a big boon for the economy.

Youth Film Competition
The California Preservation Foundation is looking for film submissions on local preservation issues. The competition is open to anyone attending a Nevada County School. Awards range from cash prizes, gift certificates, a flip camera, and site visits to art and film schools.

My Nevada City Film Festival Contest Winners
NCTV intern Onur Olmez won the first prize in the "My Nevada City Film Festival Contest" for his video "Walking In The Past", a short comparing historic images of Nevada City to images of it today. Olmez, a 16 year old native of Nevada County and a Bear River High School student, won a $250 savings account from Citizens Bank.
My Nevada City Film Festival Contest Winners
ROP Video Production at NCTV students, Camen Hodges and Carli Winquest, won second place for their short "The Key To Nevada City." Hodges 19, and Winquest 18, used the theme of George Lucas' "Indian Jones" to show off our town.
