Editing Classes Offered at NCTV

NCTV - Beginning Final Cut Pro Class

All classes held at NCTV - Call early for signups! Space is limited to six (6) student

FINAL CUT PRO - Edit I                                          January 25th to Februrary 10th, 2010,                           Mon. & Wed. 6-8 p.m. Twelve hours of instruction for $150

Classes will review project set-up, understanding the edit suite environment, vital editng skills/tools/keystrokes/mastering out a project, and "computer housekeeping" at the end of a project.  Class projects will be short (30 seconds to 5 minutes) using footage provided by the instructor and other elements, such as music & still images.

FINAL CUT PRO - Edit II                                            March 1st - March 17th, 2010                                             Mon. & Wed. 6-9 p.m. Twelve hours of instruction for $150

Students may use their own footage, and preferably have their own external hard drive to house their projects.  Please remember to bring music and/or still images on CD for your project.  We will explore filters, the Motion tab, and stacking video and audio clips.  This class will result in two completed 5-minute projects, burned to disk.  Students may choose to use stock video and music provded by instructor, and house projects on an NCTV hard drive if they don't have their own.n.

SPRING 2010 CLASSES

FINAL CUT PRO - Edit III                                             May 10th - May 26th, 2010                                          Mon. & Wed. 6-8 p.m. Twelve hours of instruction for $150

Pre-requisite:  Edit II or permission from Instructor    This class builds on the skills learned in FCP, Edit II, and ocvers building effective Opens and Closing Credits, as well as an introduction to fine-grained editing in terms of what to look for in order to "knit"your video tightly together.
