NCTV Broadcasts Live from Gold Country

LIVE Streaming of  Interviews from the Wild and Scenic Film Festival Media Lounge

This year for the first time NCTV, in conjunction with Cognizant Productions, broadcast live interviews with over 40 filmmakers, environmental activists and festival-goers from the site of the first ever Media Lounge, during the 8th Annual SYRCL Wild and Scenic Film Festival.

Co-hosts Elisa Parker and Jesse Locks of “See Jane Do” did an outstanding job of hosting the lounge and interviewing dozens of festival illuminati. Viewers were able to watch the events on NCTV, the world-wide web, and on their IPhones got front row seats at festival headquarters! Along with SYRCL and “See Jane Do,” these events were co-produced by NCTV, Cognizant Productions and The FARM (Foothill Arts, Resources & Media).

Among those interviewed was special guest, renowned actor, Patrick Stewart, (“X-Men,” “Star Trek the Next Generation”) who discussed his work with film-maker Seth Warren. Seth’s eco-adventure film, “Nature Propelled,” had its world premiere at the festival toa sold-out house!

Viewers of NCTV, Comcast Channel 11 (Suddenlink Ch. 16 in South County) were able to watch these interviews, as well as trailers for many of the films, LIVE and will be able to see them again once they are edited and put up on our "video on demand" feature at this website.

The live broadcast was made possible using WireCast by Nevada City’s own cutting edge software company, Telestream Inc., founded in 1998.

You can check out the entire all the interview at Cognizant Productions website: www.cognizantproductions.com.

NCTV wants to thank SYRCL, See Jane Do (Jesse Locks and Elisa Parker), Cognizant Productions and The FARM along with all our volunteers, without whom we could never have accomplished this grand fete.  You make it all worthwhile!
